WOOD DECKING

IPE'S dense cell structure makes it naturally resistant to insects, rot, molds, decay and even fire. These natural defenses mean Ipe does not need to be pressure treated with preservatives, toxins and chemicals like other decking woods.

Redwood lumber is popular because it gives an added color to your landscape and outdoor living area without staining it every year. It has a tendency to resist insects and is more resistant to UV rays than other types of woods.

This decking closely resembles the rich classic look of Mahogany. Heartwood ranges from a medium red to a deep red/brown with purple tinges and often laces resin canals with white concentric lines on end surfaces which produce a warm and visually striking effect. The texture is moderately fine and the grain is typically interlocked.

Mangaris is an extremely hard, clear grade, tight and interesting grain wood with an extremely consistent color. It is a deep red with a minor amount of fine brown ribbon stripes.
